Casandra Escatel is a graduate-level intern, bringing a strong passion for advocacy and a growing foundation in the field of social work.

She recently earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at Aurora University. As an undergraduate, she interned at World Relief, where she supported immigrant and refugee populations. During this time, she witnessed the challenges non-English speakers face in navigating the U.S. healthcare system, an experience that deepened her commitment to equity and social justice.

Casandra is bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows her to build meaningful connections with Spanish-speaking clients and better support diverse communities. She brings compassion, curiosity, and a strong sense of purpose to her work. Outside of her academic and professional life, she enjoys going on walks and reading.
