Millie Gonzalez

Life Care Manager

Millie Gonzalez comes to ELCS with a vast knowledge and experience in the Aging and Disability community. Graduating with a Master’s in Forensic Psychology, from Argosy University in 2013, she has emersed herself into a life of advocacy. Millie has held several roles in the Illinois Department of Aging (IDOA) network. Millie began her role with becoming a Case Manager for the IDOA Community Care Services. In this role she would assess and establish essential services into the homes of Seniors, which allowed them to remain safely in their homes and out of the facilities. Millie then became an advocate for the IDOA Adult Protective Services. This role allowed her to investigate allegations of abuse and neglect with both the disabled and senior communities.

Millie has been a voice and advocate for those who did not have a voice. She began to do her volunteer work with the WINGS Organization and became an Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional. She has spent a great deal of time working with individuals with dementia and mental illness, as well as their families. Providing these participants and their families with the support and education they need to best support their individual challenges. Her work with Adult Protective Services has also brought her into Guardianship courts, when needing to work in the best interest of her participants.
